Decora Lolita for teen art contest 2012

i did this one with acrylic paint~! i have to admit, i hated painting this. it was a total pain in the butt. i entered this in a teen art contest at my local library, won 3rd place for the 6th-8th grader category, and got a $25 michael's gift card. the gift card was pretty sweet. anywho, it started off as me totally screwing up the first time i tried, so i had to go and buy another board, sketch it out(i'm horrible with sizing, so it always turns out too big) VERY CAREFULLY, and then had to paint the whole stupid thing. it took about 6 hours, because i'm so ninja i didn't think to just do the color and then outline it, i outlined it and then painted it and then had to outline it freaking AGAIN to get solid black lines, because the color started to overlap the black. not to mention i had to do this on the busiest week of my life. i had a doctor's appointment i was very nervous for, then had anime club the next day(before i met anyone there, so i was nervous because i didn't really know anyone, and i'm really shy in person), then had something called canvas with my church the next day where they give you a canvas and you can do whatever you want with it as long as it suits the theme, and you sleep over at someone in your small groups house, and i had to turn in this painting on saturday, and i only started earlier that week on monday. and this painting is just not me, what so ever. i don't even know why i painted this. i mean it is me, it's just not how i express myself through art. oh, and i also got put in my local newspaper! i'm on the front page!! the annoying thing was the guy who was interviewing me didn't believe my name is Purple f, so in the article it says "a middle school girl who goes by "Purple F"", and kind of really ticked me off.
